Spine (Neck/Back) Therapy
Receive spine therapy from an experienced McKenzie Certified physical therapist. We utilize a treatment approach that aims to find the directional preference that your spine prefers in reducing and abolishing your neck/back pain and it’s related symptoms. An appropriate treatment plan is created to address your problem based off the mechanical evaluation. A great deal of time is spent educating patients on self-treatment techniques to reduce recurrence, flareups, and the dependence on healthcare providers in treating your neck/back pain.
Performance Recovery Session
This is the routine checkup of your body’s functional mobility. Depending on how active you are these can be performed 1x/month or 1-2x/year. You may not have a nagging injury that currently prevents you from doing the things you love, but you may notice neck stiffness upon waking or mild discomfort in your back after sitting at your desk all day. This session will involve the use of a variety of treatment techniques to include manual therapy to address muscle tightness/spasm, stiffness, and any functional limitations to prevent them from developing into injuries.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is an adjunct treatment modality using small, thin needles to provide pain relief, inflammation reduction, and reduce muscle tension. The needles penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points and other connective tissues. Dry needling is used as another treatment option during the plan of care when appropriate.
Sports Medicine/Injury Prevention Screenings
We serve and have worked with athletes of all ages and levels to include middle and high school, collegiate level, “weekend warriors”, professional athletes, and elite Paralympic athletes. We provide care that helps to prevent, diagnose, and rehab acute and chronic sports-related injuries. We also provide injury prevention screenings that assess your strength, flexibility, and quality of your movement with respect to your selective sport and create a plan to address the areas of concern that can help reduce your risk of injury.
